Avodart 0.5 mg is an oral medication primarily prescribed to treat symptoms of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), or an enlarged prostate. It contains dutasteride, a 5-alpha reductase inhibitor that blocks the conversion of testosterone to DHT, the hormone responsible for prostate growth and male pattern hair loss.

How to Take It
