Tegral 200mg is an anticonvulsant and a mood stabilizer that contains the active drug Carbamazepine. Tegral is used mainly for controlling epilepsy, treating severe nerve pain (for instance, trigeminal neuralgia) and managing mood disorders such as bipolar disorder.Important InformationPrimary Uses: Epilepsy (focal and generalized seizures), trigeminal neuralgia, and bipolar disorder.Method of Action: The drug stabilizes the abnormal electrical activity of the brain and stops excessive firing of nerves.Method of Administration: It is taken orally; the capsule is swallowed whole with water and is preferably taken with food in order to prevent irritation of the stomach.
