Description
Diane-35 is a hormonal prescription medication combining cyproterone acetate (an anti-androgen) and ethinyl estradiol (an estrogen). It is primarily used to treat severe acne, excessive facial hair (hirsutism), and symptoms of Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) in women of reproductive age. How it Works
- Cyproterone Acetate (2 mg): Blocks the effects of androgens (male hormones) that cause oily skin, acne, and unwanted hair growth.
- Ethinyl Estradiol (0.035 mg): Enhances the action of cyproterone and regulates the menstrual cycle. Together, these hormones inhibit ovulation to prevent pregnancy
