Description
Lenvaxen 10 mg is a targeted anti-cancer capsule containing the active ingredient Lenvatinib (as mesylate). It is primarily a tyrosine kinase inhibitor that halts the growth and spread of cancer cells by blocking new blood vessels from feeding the tumor. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]
Primary Indications
- Differentiated Thyroid Cancer (DTC): For locally recurrent or metastatic cancers that no longer respond to radioactive iodine.
- Hepatocellular Carcinoma (HCC): For advanced, unresectable liver cancer.
- Renal Cell Carcinoma (RCC): Used in combination with other targeted therapies like everolimus.
Dosage & Administration
- Thyroid Cancer: Usually 24 mg taken orally once daily.
- Liver Cancer: Based on body weight (12 mg daily for patients ≥60 kg; 8 mg daily for patients <60 kg).
- Administration: Capsules should be swallowed whole with water at the same time every day, with or without food
