Mimicipar 60 mg tablet has an active ingredient called Cinacalcet. It is a drug belonging to the group of calcimimetics that are used to decrease the levels of parathyroid hormone, calcium and phosphorus in the body. This medicine is mostly recommended to adults with chronic kidney disease (CKD) on dialysis and secondary hyperparathyroidism, as well as those with parathyroid carcinoma.Key Information & IndicationsPrimary Indications: Treatment of secondary hyperparathyroidism, hypercalcemia associated with parathyroid carcinoma, and primary hyperparathyroidism.Action: The medicine enhances the sensitivity of calcium-sensing receptors in the parathyroid glands and decreases the production of PTH and calcium.Dosage: Take the tablets whole.
