Zoladex LA 10.8 mg is a long-acting hormone suppression injection that contains the active substance goserelin acetate. It is prescribed to treat hormone-dependent diseases including advanced prostate cancer, breast cancer, endometriosis, and uterine fibroids by causing significant reduction of sex hormones (testosterone and estrogen). This medication is delivered through a special syringe once every 12 weeks.
How It WorksZoladex is not a chemotherapy agent. It is an LHRH agonist drug.
