Viktana 400mg/100mg is an antiviral medication that contains Sofosbuvir (400 mg) and Velpatasvir (100 mg). The drug is produced by Ferozsons Laboratories Ltd. It is used mainly for the treatment of adults with chronic Hepatitis C (HCV) genotype 1-6 infection. It blocks the important viral enzymes, thus inhibiting the virus replication.Important Information and UsageMain Purpose: Used for those who have either uncompensated or compensated cirrhosis. When it is administered for decompensated cirrhosis, it is usually taken with Ribavirin.Dosage: Generally, one tablet is prescribed to take orally once a day regardless of eating. It should be swallowed whole without chewing and crushing.Form of Release: It is provided usually in packages of 28 film-coated tablets in HDPE bottles.Side Effects: Fatigue, headache, nausea, and insomnia.
